NASA Welcomes ISRO Officials to Johnson and Kennedy Centers
NASA astronaut Raja Chari and Dr. V. Narayanan, Chairman of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), interact outside the Orion spacecraft mockup at NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston. Dr. Narayanan, along with other Indian officials, visited both NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Texas and Kennedy Space Center in Florida ahead of the Axiom Mission 4 launch to the International Space Station.
This visit is part of the ongoing collaboration between NASA and ISRO, reinforcing a joint commitment announced by former U.S. President Donald Trump and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to send the first ISRO astronaut to the station. Axiom Mission 4 plays a significant role in that effort. The two space agencies are currently engaged in five joint scientific investigations, along with two in-orbit STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) demonstrations.
